Why Kingdom Discovery?
We long for the return of Jesus. Scripture tells us:
“This good news of the Kingdom will be proclaimed in all the world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” — Matthew 24:14 (CSB)
Many have heard the good news of salvation. But few know the good news of the Kingdom — God’s active transformation of lives, communities, and nations. Kingdom Discovery offers a practical, powerful overview of the Kingdom and helps each person discover their role in it.
1. Purpose
Kingdom Discovery introduces the Kingdom of God — what it is, how we enter it, and how we live it out. It’s more than a teaching series; it’s an invitation to alignment with God’s design. This course helps participants find their identity, role, and mission in God’s unfolding story.
2. Content
Across eight core lessons, participants explore the first principles of the Kingdom. These lessons clarify who we are in Christ, how we function as His Church, and how we live out our calling in the world. Most who engage don’t walk away the same.
3. How the Lessons Work
These sessions are not “taught” — they’re facilitated. You don’t need to be a Kingdom expert. Your role is to guide, listen, ask good questions, and help the group reflect on Scripture together.
If a question arises that you can’t answer — excellent. That’s a shared growth moment. Simply say, “Let me work on that and get back to you.” Regional leaders are available to help. We’re not doing this alone.
4. Who This Is For
This is not a self-study course. It’s designed for leaders who are interested in facilitating the equipping of others. The goal is for each participant to become a facilitator. Through this multiplying design, towns and regions and even beyond can be reached. A few cycles of faithful sharing can create a ripple effect — from small groups to citywide transformation. Imagine a world where everyone can be invited to hear the Good News of the Kingdom!
5. Not a One-and-Done
The final session includes a follow-up survey that invites participants to identify where they want to grow next. When people share their learning interests, we need to provide the equipping they need. With input from these surveys, you can connect people to equipping opportunities at both the congregational and citywide level, matching their gifts, needs, and passions to courses being offered.
6. Make Good on Equipping Requests
When someone says they want to learn things like:
- “I want to fulfill my destiny”
- “I want to live like Christ daily”
- “I need help in my marriage”
- “I want to learn to share Christ more effectively”
—we must respond.
The good news: Equippers already exist in our region.
The challenge: They’re not always in our own church.
The solution: Reciprocity.
Share Your Gifts: If your church has skilled equippers, encourage them to offer courses.
Seek Equipping: If your people need training, tap into courses developed by our top regional resources—no one leader can do it all.
7. Working together to Make It Happen
Leaders from across the region are already working together to provide high-quality equipping. But more are needed. We’re calling forward new voices and hidden equippers.
Are you one of them?
8. Let’s tap the Power of Multiplication
This Kingdom Discovery course is simple and repeatable. As the course progresses, facilitators encourage each participant to, after they complete the course, gather at least two pre-Christian friends and two believers to go through the course together.
This is how the Kingdom advances: relationally, simply, boldly.
